My client is a rapidly growing end-user with exciting expansion plans, a commitment to IT to enable it to maintain a competitive advantage over its competition. With exciting new business projects in place they require Network Engineer's/Network Administrators (HP/CISCO) to join their team.
This is predominantly Level 3 support (routers, switches, firewalls) requiring solid Network Administration/ Engineering experience covering Layers 2-4. Strong problem solving, diagnostic skills, trouble shooting skills are essential as you deal with STP's, VLANS , CISCO call manager issues and PoE devices on a day to day basis.
Working as part of a busy Network Admin team you will be required to have a delivery/outcome focus, be willing to work additional hours if necessary (time given back in lieu) & have a positive approach to challenges and problems.
From a layer 3/4 perspective skills with IP addressing, routing (static, dynamic - EIGRP, OSPF, BGP - redistribution), TCP/UDP troubleshooting would be great skills to have.
Candidates must have worked in process driven environments with change control processes, formal ticketing systems, escalation processes etc. You will be dealing with staff based across WA over the phone so clear and succint communication skills are essential.
I am looking for Network Engineers/Network Administrators who are technologically agnostic and are happy to work in both CISCO and non CISCO (HP) orientated environments. CISCO device experience is important along with HP devices (H3C) would be highly regarded by my client. Firewall experience would be of benefit also.
